CALLA BREEZE was founded in Istanbul in 2012 by designer Esra ÇAKIR. Before launching her own brand, Esra ÇAKIR worked as a designer for 13 years at both international and Turkish clothing and accessories firms, gaining experience in all aspects of design, production and sales for the brands she worked with, both domestically and internationally.
Divided into three categories – Hats, Beachwear and Home Textiles – the CALLA BREEZE brand focuses on the production of stylish, high-quality products and bringing them to customers.
Esra Çakır
Following her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design in Istanbul, designer Esra ÇAKIR spent two years studying Fashion Design/Accessories and Brand Management at Central Saint Martins School of Art and the London College of Fashion in London. In 2011, she undertook a one-year course in Brand Culture and Brand Management in Istanbul, part of a joint project between Bilgi University and Domus Academy.
Esra ÇAKIR, who oversees the design processes across all aspects of her brand, also continues to attend workshops abroad on hat-making and shares her own hat-making techniques and practices with fellow designers and hat enthusiasts.
It has been designed to be long-lasting.
